Actor and comedian Robin Williams has passed away just aged 63.

Shortly after the news broke, millions of fans took to Twitter to express their grief and shock and offer condolences to those who knew him personally.

Many shared fond memories of the actor splitting sides in Mrs Doubtfire, tugging heartstrings in Jumanji, and inspiring awe in the award-winning Dead Poets Society, the radio DJ in Good Morning Vietnam and the Best Actor Academy Award winner in 1997 for his role in Good Will Hunting.
