Wells Fargo Championship Media Center Stops For 140th Kentucky Derby.

The running of the 140th Kentucky Derby stopped work in the Wells Fargo Championship Media Center.

Fortunately, play in the third round had ended some 45 minutes earlier with J B Holmes, who strangely had been present at the 2013 Kentucky Derby, leading the event by a stroke on 13-under par.

There was a sweep among those in the media center and with Tour Miss and myself drawing No. 14 – Medal Court & No. 18 – Candy Boy.

Medal Court was at odds of 20- 1 and Candy Boy 15-1 for the first leg of the famedĀ Triple Crown.

However it was the favourite and No. 1 California Chrome that won with ease with No. 17 Commanding Curve second and No. 4 Danza third.

The race was run in front 164,906 and the second largest ever in the history of the race.
