Rory McIlroy’s let slip his wedding to Danish tennis ace, Caroline Wozniack is more advanced than he has led everyone to believe.

McIlroy had been present at the Dubai Mall late yesterday (MON) local time to officially open a new Nike golf and apparel store in the world’s largest mall.

The opening of the store had been seven months in the planning yet the Double Major winner was present in the Dubai Mall for 30 minutes to open the exclusive golfing apparel shop in the world’s largest shopping mall.

The Ulsterman was asked to putt on a six-foot long section of artificial putting surface place in between the eight-foot wide entrance to shop.

Once that was completed McIlroy, who has spent the past week practicing at the Els Club, signed an array of Nike golfing products including caps, shirts, shoes and some half-a-dozen crimson coloured Nike driver heads.

There was an informal question and answer session, a few obligatory autographs for fans waiting outside and then off to share dinner with his fiancée, Caroline Wozniacki and her parents.

McIlroy had commenced his new season two weeks ago in nearby Abu Dhabi fending off questions of his New Year’s engagement saying the couple were planning a long engagement.

However McIlroy revealed during the interview session:  “Things have changed for the better off the golf course getting engaged to Caroline which has been fantastic, so I’ve been planning the wedding and all that stuff, already, and that is exciting to look forward to.”
