England’s Lee Westwood will be sure to be speaking out on behalf of his fellow Europeans in being appointed for a first time to the PGA Tour’s Advisory Board.
Westwood finds himself the lone European-born member despite the PGA Tour now boasting dozens of Europeans.
Strangely, Westwood was never a member of the European Tournament Players Committee.
The TOUR announced the 16-member Player Advisory Council (PAC) for 2014. The PAC advises and consults with the PGA TOUR Policy Board (Board of Directors) and Commissioner Tim Finchem on issues affecting the TOUR.
Jason Bohn, Charley Hoffman and Kevin Streelman have been selected by the Player Directors to run for PAC Chairman via election which ends February 8, with the leading vote-getter being named PAC Chairman, followed by a three-year term on the Policy Board (2015-2017) replacing Jim Furyk.
