Adam Scott Not About To Get Into Sledging Match With Robert Allenby.

Adam Scott has refused to get into a friendly sledging encounter with fellow Australian Robert Allenby as he seeks to join Allenby as only the second player to capture Australia’s golfing ‘Triple Crown’.

Scott has captured two legs of the ‘Triple Crown’ in winning the Australian PGA Championship and successfully defending last fortnight’s Australian Masters title at Royal Melbourne.

Allenby created Australian golfing history in 2005 winning the ‘Triple Crown’ and will tee up this week at Royal Sydney looking to deny Scott in capturing a third Australian Open.

The duo attended a gala dinner on Tuesday night and with Scott not about to be drawn into any banter with Allenby.

“I’ll leave the sledging to the cricketers,” said Scott smiling.

“I did catch up with Rob last night at the function and I asked him for some advice on how to go about it and, but he didn’t offer up and advice.

“So I guess I am left to my own devices.”

Scott tees up having finished third in last week’s World Cup of Golf also at Royal Melbourne and if successful this week it will also be his second Australian Open success and also match Tiger Woods with five victories this year.
