We are into the second week of qualifying for the 2014 European Ryder Cup side with the staging of this week’s Omega European Masters in Switzerland.

Of course, there is full 12 months of golf before we will know the eventual make-up of Paul McGinley’s European Team.

Already we have three past Ryder Cup players among the top-nine automatic qualifiers after just the first week in Sweden’s Henrik Stenson, Spain’s Sergio Garcia and England’s Ian Poulter.

What we are going to do here at www.golfbytourmiss.com is list the top-10 qualifiers at present and then in a year’s time we will go back to that list just to see how many of the initial nine qualifiers will be competing at Gleneagles.
