Scott Knocks Mickelson From 2nd & McIlroy Now Back To No. 4 In World.

Adam Scott has climbed to a career high of No. 2 in the world after his stunning Barclays Championship victory in  New Jersey.

The Australian jumped Phil Mickelson while former World  No. 1 Rory McIlroy finds himself back at No. 4 and in danger of losing that place to fellow US Open champion, Justin Rose who is No. 5 and less than half a point behind the Northern Irishman.

One of the biggest movers was American Gary Woodland who finished tied second in the Barclays and moving from 153rd in the world and inside the top-100 at 98th.

New Johnnie Walker Championship winner Tommy Fleetwood is the new World No. 162nd ranked player and a jump of 115 places while Argentina’s Ricardo Gonzalez, who finished joint runner-up in Scotland has moved from 352 to 244, and fellow Gleneagles runner-up Stephen Gallacher is up 10 spots to World No. 64.

Another big mover was Australia’s Brad Kennedy after winning for a second time on the Japan Tour in capturing the Kansai Open and jumping 63 spots to the new World No. 158.

While red-bearded Bronson La Cassie, winner in Kansas on the Web.com Tour, is the new World No. 332 after being ranked No. 676 following last December’s Emirates Australian Open.
