Rory McIlroy put himself back in the frame for a possible winning defence of his PGA Championship title when he birdied four of his closing seven holes in a round of 71 for a level par tally on the Oak Hill course.
As is now customary, after his round McIlroy was quizzed by the media in attendance at the championship.
He was asked one question by John Hopkins, and former correspondent for the London Times that had McIlroy colourfully gesticulating his answer.

The answer to McIlroy’s actions lies what took place on the 7th hole during his first round.
“I probably had this little gap in the trees that was maybe three foot wide by three feet high, and I just hit this shot perfect,” said McIlroy.
“It was a good shot, and it’s funny because when you do get in the trees the surroundings then dictate the sort shot you can play. You don’t have to think of anything else because all you have is one option, and you just sort of try and get the ball through or over where you want it to go.
“So on this occasion I hit a 7-iron perfect through this window in the trees.”
