Colsaerts Reunited With Missing Clubs Thanks To Power Of Social Media

Belgian’s Nicolas Colsaerts has been reunited with his missing clubs and luggage thanks to Twitter and Facebook.

Striking Brussels airport baggage handlers released his clubs Tuesday and with event sponsor, Volvo arranging for his father, Patrick to fly from Brussels with the clubs and luggage.

But this was after Colsaerts mother, Danielle had travelled to Paris earlier Tuesday with a spare set of clubs and clothing but only to have her flight to Sofia cancelled.

“Thanks to the power of social media I’ve now got my golf clubs and clothing with me in Bulgaria,” said Colsaerts.

“Volvo kindly organised for my dad to bring the clubs by private jet but it was pretty intense yesterday (Mon) because I didn’t know what was happening.

“It’s seriously affected my preparations as I would have liked to play a practice round today (TUES) and see what the course has to offer.

“But we all travel enough in this job to know that flying by air is not always smooth sailing.”

Colsaerts is the defending champion in a Euro 3m event boasting 24 players from 15 different countries.
