Caroline Wozniacki To Slip Into Augusta White Overalls & Caddy For Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy’s girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki will caddy for the double Major winner in Wednesday’s Par Three Contest on the eve of the Masters.

It will be the first time the former No. 1 Danish-born tennis ace will be present at a Major to support her past World No. 1 ranked golfer.

But just weeks after launching a designer line of underwear, Wozniacki will have to don a pair of very unfashionable Augusta National white overalls for the nine hole experience.

“It’s taken a lot of encouraging but Caroline’s about 95% agreed to caddying for me in the Par Three Contest,” said McIlroy after carding a third round 71 to be sharing fourth place with a day to play in the Valero Texas Open.

“I’ve had my dad caddy before so it will be great to have Caroline caddying for me this year.

“Since meeting her she’s getting into golf so I’m sure she will enjoy the experience despite having to wear a pair of those white overalls.”

The couple will soon celebrate their second anniversary after meeting each other for the first time at the David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko World Heavyweight title fight in 2011 in Hamburg and shortly after McIlroy captured the US Open title.

Right after meeting McIlroy, Wozinacki tweeted:  “Also met Rory McIlroy, who was sitting just behind me.  Really down to earth guy”.

McIlroy kick-started their relationship when he responded on the occasion of her 21st birthday saying:  “You’re getting old.”
Wozniacki has been present at a number of events supporting McIlroy including late last year including the Turkish Airlines World Golf Championship.
She was then in Dubai to witness McIlroy birdie his closing five holes to capture the European Tour’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
McIlroy heads into the final round of the event in San Antonio four shots behind American Billy Horschel.
Horschel, who carded a third round 70 and was joint second last week in the Shell Houston Open, heads the field by two shots on 10-under par and looking to secure the last remaining invitation into Thursday’s starting Masters.
However if McIlroy should capture the title he will remain as World No. 2.
Texas Open sponsor, Valero are making use of three Gulfstream private jets to fly the some two dozen players competing in San Antonio direct to Augusta on Sunday afternoon following the tournament.
