Of the top six players heading into the final round of the Masters there’s only one player who has tasted victory in the Majors – Argentina’s Angel Cabrera.
And Cabrera’s not only won a US Open but four years ago he won the Master.
Now the 43-year old grandfather is on target to be fitted with a second Masters green jacket in storming his way to a share of the lead on seven under par and tied with American Brandt Snedeker.
The Argentinean birdied two of his closing three holes in a score of second straight 69.
However after having won just one tournament since his Masters victory, a fourth Argentina Open in 2012, the now current World No. 269 is just one round away from a third Major.
And after having tasted Masters success only four years ago
” I think it’s definition time for me tomorrow,” he said.
“Tomorrow it’s more about execution and about patience. I don’t think it’s a big advantage that I’ve won before. It’s more about patience.
“I”ve been working hard a lot, before that. For two years I was having some injuries that were bothering me, and I got to that tournament already with a lot of work behind it.”
And Cabrera was specifically asked by www.golfbytourmiss.com if he could recall his emotions after three rounds in 2009 to now in 2013.
“In 2009, I was nervous, anxious but now I’m very comfortable,” he said.
“I know what I’ve got to do tomorrow to be able to get the win.”
