Here’s a question ahead of the final round of the 66th Shell Houston Open.
What do co-leaders Stewart Cink and Bill Haas have in common besides sharinng the lead in the $6.2m event being staged at the Redstone Golf Club course?
Answer: They both went to the same barber.
And as Cink responded when it was mentioned, tongue in cheek, they have the same barbers he responded: “Same barber. Self baber.”

Shaven haired Stewart Cink and Bill Haas share the lead after three rounds of the Shell Houston Open and also share the same barber.

ABOUT THE LEADERS – STEWART CINK AND BILL HAAS |
|
• Stewart Cink is bidding to win his first PGA TOUR event since the 2009 British Open and end a victory drought of three years, eight months, 11 days (81 events). |
• Cink went four years between wins at the MCI Heritage Classic, his second and third career victories on the PGA TOUR, in 2000 and 2004. |
• Cink won twice when he’s been leading/tied for the lead heading into Sunday’s final round and the last time he’s been in this position was at the 2008 Travelers Championship and he went on to win. |
• Bill Haas is attempting to join father Jay as the first-ever father-son winner of the Shell Houston Open. Jay won the tournament in 1987 at The Woodlands. Jay won the 1988 Bob Hope Classic while Bill claimed the same title near Palm Springs in 2010. |
• Haas is making his fifth appearance in the Shell Houston Open this week after missing the cut in this event from 2006-2009. |
• Haas is making his ninth appearance on the 2013 PGA TOUR and best finish this year is a T3 at the Northern Trust Open. |
