Tiger Woods Looks Set To Compete In 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Tiger Woods looks set to compete in next year’s 25th anniversary of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Woods’ long-time manager, Mark Steinberg indicated he is in discussion with a number of overseas tournament directors, including officials from the Omega Dubai Golf Classic and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship/

Woods is a two-time former Dubai Desert Classic winner having won the event in 2006 and 2008.

“Dubai is the first place he went in the Middle East, he’s won there a couple of times, and we’d do it out of respect because it’s the 25th anniversary,” said Steinberg in article by good friend, Bob Harig on www.espn.com

“They are making a very big deal out of that.”

However given it is only early into 2013 naturally dates of various 2014 have yet to be finalised.

Those events include the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and an event Woods won the very week after competing in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Given Woods affection for Torrey Pines, including capturing the 2008 US Open, the 2014 scheduling of the Farmers Insurance Open will dictate whether he competes in Abu Dhabi and or Dubai.
