Sweden’s Alex Noren has muscled his way into this week’s $6m Honda Classic field at Palm Beach Gardens in Flordia.
The Callaway staff player joined fellow double European Tour winners Jamie Donaldson and Shane Lowry at a Monday qualifier in a big field teeing up on the Mayacoo Lakes Country Club course in West Palm Beach.
Just four spots were up for grabs and with Noren and Donaldson joining Americans Vaughan Taylor and Darron Stiles in shooting five under par 66s to qualify for Thursday’s starting event featuring the World No. 1 and defending champion, Rory McIlroy, 14-time Major winning Tiger Woods.

While Noren has now contested a number of US based WGCs and Majors since making his US debut in 2008, the Honda Classic will be the Monte Carlo based Swede’s first-ever appearance in a regular PGA Tour event.
And the experience should put Noren in good stead for next week’s $US 8.75m WGC – Cadillac Championship also in Florida.
Unfortunately, Lowry missed out by a shot and instead has acceptedn invitation to tee up in next week’s PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open.
Noren has been drawn to play the opening two rounds alongside American’s Chad Campbell and Cameron Tringale.
And Noren will have plenty of Swedish company with six compatriots in the field including Ryder Cup stars, Peter Hason, Jesper Parnevik and Henrik Stenson.
Woods will play the first two days alongside Germany’s Martin Kaymer and fellow American Dustin Johson.
Organisers have placed McIlroy in the same group as Ernie Els and American Mark Wilson.
