When www.golfbytourmiss.com walked a few holes with Caroline Wozinacki earlier this week in Turkey the tennis ace admitted her golf had not improved as much as her boyfriend, Rory McIlroy.
In the time since they first got together Wozinacki’s tennis game has gone from her being the highest ranked women’s tennis player in the world to her her current World No. 11 ranking heading into this week’s Kremlin Cup in Moscow.

In contrast, McIlroy has advance to win a second Major and now be ranked the No. 1 golfer in the world.
Wozinacki also disclosed while in Turkey for the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final that she often took her golf clubs with her to tennis events for the odd social game when time permitted.
So it comes as a surprise to learn that the Danish tennis ace is looking elsewhere for golf instruction.
And she’s found that in former tennis No. 1 Yevgeny Kafelnikov, now the Russian national golf champion.
“I actually really enjoy golf,” she said.
“I think it’s a fun sport to play and I think I’ve got hooked on it a little bit but not as much as much as Yevgeny.
“He actually gave me a few hints on the tennis court how to play golf when we were in Australia this year.”
Despite Kafelnikov’s input, the Dane will remain strictly a recreational golfer, as well as supporting McIlroy at tournaments.
“I think I’ll stay playing occasionally and going out to watch.”
Wozniacki is to face either former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone or Poland’s Urszula Radwanska in the second round of the Kremlin Cup after being afforded a bye in the first round.
