Tiger Woods & His Surgeon Spend The Afternoon Walking Augusta National

Tiger Woods got his first look at August National this year but there’s no need for concern in working out who accompanied the four time Masters winner around the Georgia golfing gem.

Dr. Vern Cooley gets to walk Augusta National alongside a four time Masters winner.

After a thunderstorm flooded lashed the course late Saturday, Woods went out on a glorious Sunday afternoon in the company of fellow Masters winner, Mark O’Meara.

Also walking with the green jacked winning duo was Dr. Vern Cooley.

It was Cooley, who along with fellow orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Tom Rosenberg, reconstructed Woods left knee shortly after his 2008 U.S. Open success following anterior cruciate ligament damage.

However it is believed Cooley, who said he and Woods have become close friends, was not consulted about trying to repair Woods’ more recent leg problems.

Under Augusta National rules a competitor is allowed one guest who can walk the course and it appears Cooley delighted in the opportunity to stroll through the ‘Cathedral among the Pines’.

And the last time Woods walked Augusta he stormed his way past playing partner, Martin Laird shooting a 67 to grab a share of fourth place.
