Bubba Watson Admits Fear Of The Dark, A Fear Of Heights & Crowds

Susanne Kemper provides a unique insight into Bubba Watson.

Watson was a member of the victorious USA Presidents Cup side and he’s competing this week in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua.

However after carding a second round 69 to move into a share of 10th place at three-under par, the Florida-born Watson was asked a few questions that revealed another side to the three-time PGA Tour winner.

Bubba Watson - winner of the 2011 Farmers Insurance Open.

First question to Watson.

Qn:  What is there about you that would surprise people?

“I’m afraid of the dark, I am terrified of heights, and I am afraid of crowds.”

Watson’s wife, Angie went skydiving but Bubba kept his feet on the ground.

He also won’t go out in a boat where he can’t see the shoreline!

He was also asked if he were PGA Commissioner for a day what would you do?

“Give us carts! Then we could fly around and play the hell out of golf courses! Would be cool.”

Watson was quizzed if there was a golf course he would love to play that he hasn’t?

“Well I’m not really a course junkie but….hmmmm. I’ve heard Kingsbarns is supposed to be really something. Okay..Kingsbarns.”
