Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy saw in the New Year watching their respective tennis girlfriends competing.
A bearded Scott was in the stands supporting Ana Ivanovich at the Brisbane International in Brisbane, Australia.
Scott was wearing an opened chequered shirt over a white t-shirt as the Serbian stunner easily accounted for Austrian Tamira Paszek 6-3, 6-3 in 80 minutes to set up a second round encounter against Kim Clijsters
The on-again, off-again and now back on-again relationship between one of Australia’s leading golfers and the 24-year old Ivanovich was rekindled mid-2010.
And less than a fortnight after withdrawing for the Thailand Golf Championship, McIlroy arrived in Thailand to spend to New Year’s Eve with Danish flame Caroline Wozinacki at Hua Hin.

“It is my first time here in Thailand. It is great to be here and I am fine and not too tired following a long journey,” said McIlroy after his arrival at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.
It is believed after spending Christmas with his parents in Ireland the trio travelled to Thailand for a family holiday.
The world number one ranked Wozinacki played world number three, Victoria Azarenka in the World Tennis Charity Invitation as part of the Thailand flood relief fund-raising program.
But before their encounter Wozinacki and her mother, Anna attended a Thai cooking class at the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort with Chef Kent Masanglong, the resort’s Chef de Cuisine.
Wozinacki lost her match to Ararenka but it remains to be seen whether McIlroy would be travelling to Perth in Western Australia where Wozinacki was representing Denmark in the annual Hopman Cup at the Burswood Casino.
After the completion of the Hopman Cup Wozinacki is heading to Sydney in the on-going build-up for the Australian Open later this month.
She will star in the Apia International running from January 8th to 14th at Sydney’s Olympic Park.
And McIlroy very well could be present in the former Olympic Games host city before heading to Dubai and the start of practice on January 12th for his 2012 season.
