Louis Oosthuizen has been given the all clear to contest the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational.
On Tuesday, the former Open Champion was a passenger in a car that was severly damaged when another motorist disobeyed a Stop sign and slammed into the car being driven by Oothuizen’s caddy.
His caddy was taken to hospital but Oosthuizen declined despite suffering whiplash in the smash.
It meant the South African missing a practice round on Tuesday but he was at the Firestone course today to prepare for the $US 8.5m tournament.
“It was a pretty scary experience,” he said.
“My neck was pretty sore yesterday but I’ve had a lot of treatment on it, so I should be okay for tomorrow.”
Oosthuizen will play the opening two rounds in the company of Australia’s Aaron Baddeley and teeing off in the last group of the morning session from the 10th tee at 10.10am
