‘Harrington Airways’ Travels To Houston With Full Load

‘Harrington Airways’ had a full plane load on arrival at Houston and this week’s Shell Houston Open.

Padraig Harrington is certainly making full use of the private jet he recently bought after having used the jet to travel back-and-forward to recent WGC events.

Now he’s brought the jet over for two weeks including next week’s Masters at Augusta National.

Harrington left Dublin on Saturday morning and six-and-a-half hours later he was touching down in the sprawling Texas city.

On board was he and his family along with caddy Ronan Flood his wife and their three-month old child.  Also it’s believed Harrington’s mother also has made the Stateside visit.

In fact, Ronan indicated he had to arrange a passport so that the baby could travel.

“Not bad is it that your first flight is in a private jet?” Flood laughed.

“But it was a really good flight with just the one stop before coming here to Houston.”

He and Harrington went to work on Sunday playing eight holes of this week’s Redstone Golf Club host venue and then 10 holes on Monday.

After some practice today (Monday) under the watchful eye of Wilson Staff’s Ron Graham, Harrington played another nine holes.

“I have been coming to Houston for a few years now and where the golf course is always in tremendous conditions and it’s always good preparation for next week’s Masters,” said Harrington.

Graham (see picture) has been looking after Harrington on the U.S. Tour for some time but last November he had a bad fall breaking bones all down the left side of his body.

He will be on crutches till June and has been getting back around the range and the Wilson Staff van with the aid of a futuristic ‘Beamer PTC’ trike.
