The Day Arnie Introduced Us To ‘Mulligan’.
One of the delights in driving up to the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, and home each year to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in surburban Orlando is there are no security gates, no security guard box and now even a simple electronically-operated boom gate.
This is so vastly different to the scenario across America where, and even at some public courses, unless you have prior permission or a suitable pass, you just cannot get past the front gates.
Of course, in this dangerous world that’s how sometimes ...
Lowry Opts Out of Arnie’s Event & Also Texas To Focus On Augusta
Shane Lowry will not take his near-winning Honda Classic form into this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational and he disclosed he also will bypass for a second year not teeing up in Texas in the week prior to next month’s Masters.
Not for a moment is Lowry throwing the toys out of his tournament’s pram following last Sunday’s bitter second-place finish. No, Lowry’s simply sticking to the plans he had in place before teeing up last week at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens.

“I have never really said anything about it (SGL) because no one has ever asked me but the way I see it, ...

USA Ryder Cup Selection Committee Gets Younger With Spieth & Thomas Now On Panel
The USA Ryder Cup selection process has just gotten younger with Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas added to the team selection committee.
Spieth and Thomas, who boast just six Ryder Cups between the duo, have not yet to act as a vice-captain yet the PGA of America have seen fit to add them to the committee headed by PGA of America President, Jim Richerson and also includes Vice-President John Lindert and CEO Seth Waugh.
And it seems Thomas’ appointment comes out of the blue for the 28-year-old.
