Bernie’s Monthy Medal – Winners For March 2013
The month of March has been highlighted by reporting on three tournaments on the PGA Tour – Tampa Bay Championship, Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Shell Houston Open.
So apart from a couple of games of golf in Scotland beforehand, it’s an all-American theme this month with my Monthly Medal awards.
GOLFER OF THE MONTH – Tiger Woods
Who else but Tiger Woods!
Back-to-back victories and with his Arnold Palmer Invitational success matching a record set by the late Sam Snead with eight ...
‘Dufnering’ Craze Sweeps Shell Houston Open – Tour Miss Involved.
Call it crazy and you can call it stupid but a new craze has swept the Shell Houston Open – ‘Dufnering’.
The protagonist himself, Jason Dufner, explained the photograh taken of him looking thoroughly disinterested in a classroom surrounded by children, while performing a charity visit to the J. Erik Jonsson Community School in Dallas.
Dufner sat next to two children who were listening intently to the teacher. His legs are erect, his arms stiff at his side, and he has a vacant look ...
Horsepower On Display At Shell Houston Open – Joey Lagano’s 5.8 Litre NASCAR Shell Penzoil Ford.
They call Joey Lagano ‘sliced bread’ (as in the greatest thing since) as he’s the youngest NASCAR driver to win a Nationwide Series race at age 18 years and 21 days old.
Lagano then became winning in Sprint Cup Series history when he was first past the chequered flag in the 2009 Lenox Industrial Tools 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The Kennedy Space Centre is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Florida.
The Centre has been the launch site for every NASA human space flight since 1968, and although such flights have been put on hold, the Centre still conducts unmanned rocket launches.
The Kennedy Space Center was created and has evolved to meet ...
Media Dinner – Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Far too often we travel to golf tournaments and far too often tournament officials and sponsors do little to recognize the importance of the media in their role in diseminating news and information about the tournament.
So how nice it was to receive an invitation from IMG’s Bev Norwood and Tournament Press Officer, Tracey Dent to be the guests of the Arnold ...

Sunset Over The Gulf Of Mexico.
The Tampa Bay Championship again took place on the Innisbrook Golf Resort course but the course is not located not in Tampa Bay but further west and close to Clearwater that lies on the west Florida coastline and along the Gulf of Mexico shoreline.
www.golfbytourmiss.com took the opportunity to head down to the shoreline where Clearwater was gearing up for the annual Sping Break – and a good time to take a break away from Clearwater.
