Richie Ramsay Declares Whistling Straits ‘A Favourite Venue’.
Making only his second PGA Championship showing is Aberdonian Richie Ramsay who already labeled Whistling Straits ‘one of my favourite venues’.
“I just love the golf course as it suits my eye so much and it’s already become one of my favourite venues even though I’ve only had a couple of practice rounds out on the course,” he said.
“The key here is not to miss the fairways and I am hitting the ball so straight at present it should really suit my game.”

A 20-Year Anniversary Monty Rather Forget.
It is not an anniversary Colin Montgomerie would care to remember but 20 years ago this week he stared Major Championship glory right in the face for a second occasion in 14 months.
Monty had lost out in a U.S. Open play-off a year earlier to Ernie Els but then found himself again denied and this time by Australia’s Steve Elkington for the 1995 PGA Championship crown at Riviera in suburban L.A.
There would be one other occasion when Monty was in a similar situation and that was in 2006 at Winged ...
Marc Warren Confident Of Following Good Friend Shane Lowry As Back-To-Back Champ.
A week after playing a practice round last week with good friend Shane Lowry and top Scot Marc Warren is warming at thoughts of lifting the Rodman Wanamaker Trophy.
Lowry defied odds last week of 125/1 at the start of the week to capture the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio.
And Warren wasted little time sending off a congratulatory text to the bearded Dubliner.
However it’s not the first occasion this season Warren and Lowry have been in each other’s company heading into a U.S. event.

Shane Lowry’s Bridgestone Victory Toast Dampended By New Tour Stance.
Shane Lowry’s joy in capturing the Bridgestone Invitational has been somewhat short-lived by the European Tour’s decision not to co-sanction or afford Ryder Cup counting points to next year’s event.
The return of golf to the 2016 Olympics has meant for a completely revamped schedule on both the European and PGA Tour’s next year.
One big change is the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational will move from its traditional August date to June and two weeks following the U.S. Open and three weeks prior ...
Tiger Woods Not Only Fighting His Game But Biting Mosquitos
Four-time former PGA Championship winner Tiger Woods is not only fighting gremlins in his game but biting mosquitos all about this week’s Whistling Straits host venue.
Woods was sporting a few ‘mossie’ bites on his arms following an early Tuesday morning practice and showing he’d lost none of his human appeal with a ‘plague’ of few hundred of fans up early to walk the Lake Michigan shoreline with the former long-time World No. 1.
“I’ve never seen mosquitos like these up ...

On show in the locker-room of the Whistling Straits clubhouse is the item they each will be seeking this week – the gleaming Rodman Wanamaker Trophy.
But then while Bernie was in the clubhouse congratulating Ireland’s Shane Lowry he managed to get a snap beside the largest trophy in Majors competition.
