Masters champion Danny Willett, and enjoying a three-way share of the lead, was lucky not to be penalised when he sunglasses fell off his cap and hit his ball on the 17th hole.
Willett immediately called for Chief Referee, John Paramor but as his ball had not moved he was not penalised.
He said: “I’d knocked my sunglasses off and he was stood right next to me and I said I don’t think they hit it (the ball), and the referee said well even if touched it as long as the ball’s not moved.
