Double-D Sings The Praise Of Wife/Caddy In Retaining Asian Tour Card
After a four-month absence David Drysdale and his wife/caddy Vicky arrived home to a chilly Scotland aglow after the proud Scot secured full 2024 Asian Tour membership.
Despite the final event disappointment of missing the PIF Saudi Open cut, the 48-year-old Asian Tour rookie had done enough to easily retain his card for next year.
It means a full 2024 schedule and including all of the dozen or so prestigious International Series events.
What a different scenario to near this time a year ago when ...
Oglivy Moves Into Focus To Take The NBC TV Lead Analyst Role.
If reports are correct then Paul McGinley’s recent transAtlantic audition for the vacant NBC TV hosting role may have be to no avail.
Aussie Geoff Ogilvy has seemedingly bumped the Irishman out of favouritism for the prime PGA Tour TV commentary position.
That’s the view according to Sports Business Journal naming the 43-year-old and former 2006 US Open winning Ogilvy as set to replace Paul Azinger for the next month’s opening event of the 2024 PGA Tour schedule.
Ogilvy’s captured a ...

Drysdale Scotland Bound Sky High After Securing Asian Tour Card
Scot David Drysdale maybe a tinge disappointed but he’s heading home sky high delighted to have secured his 2024 Asian Tour card.
Drysdale signed for a disappointing second round, not helped by the shortest club in his bag in posting a five-over-par 76 to miss the cut by four shots in the season-ending PIF Saudi Open in Riyadh.
He recorded two early round double-bogeys to make the turn in four-over before dropped shots at 12 and 14 ahead of a birdie at the par-5 15th.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ...
Mull Of Kintyre – The Southern Tip Of Scotland
Mention Mull of Kintyre and first thoughts is the ex-Beatles Paul McCartney’s hit tune of the same name.
The Mull of Kintyre is located on the southern tip of Kintyre peninsula, and the most southerly point of Home of Golf nation.
The word ‘Mull’ is Gaelic and means a rounded hill, a summit, and a mountain that is bare of trees.
There is certainly no trees on this mostly windswept, rocky and very steep location, and certainly no sandy beach where a full Scottish pipe band could ...
Sainte-Mère-Église – Visiting The First Town To Be Liberated On D-Day.
Sainte-Mere-Eglise is a lovely French village located around 12 kilometres straight inland from the famed D-Day beaches at Normandy.
Some 80-years ago, Sainte-Mere-Eglise and its surroundings was a strategic area along the national road connecting Cherbourg to Paris, at a key road junction between five departmental roads.
Early on the morning of June 6th, 1944 Saint-Mere-Eglise would become the first town in Europe to be liberated from more than four years of German occupation.
