McIlroy Creates PGA Tour History – Voted First Non-American Chairman Players Advisory Committee
Rory McIlroy has created history of an ‘off-the-field’ first in being elected the first non-American born chairman in the 52-year history of the PGA Tour’s Players Advisory Committee.
McIlroy, who was already a member of the 16-man committee, will replace American Charley Hoffman as chairman, and a role that answers directly to PGA Tour Commissioner, Jay Monahan.
