Knox & Laird Leave New Orleans With Best Result In Respective Nine & 10 Months.

The Scottish duo of Russell Knox and Martin Laird combined to secure their best result in nearly a year by sharing seventh place in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The Tartan duo, and playing an alternate Foursomes format on day four, signed for a 71 for a 17-under par tally,
But Knox and Laird were left ruiing a 17th hole double bogey that cost them a share of fourth place on the alligator-infested TPC Louisana course.

The effort is Knox’s best finish since he was fifth last August was Laird is savouring a best effort since third in last July’s Quicken Loans tournament.
The all-American duo of Billy Horschell and Scott Piercy earned a cool $im each in posting a closing score of 67 for a 22-under par New Orleans victory tally.
“We’re excited and pleased it is over but my partner played awesome this week and hat’s off to him,” said Piercy.
The all-England duo of Tommy Fleetwood and Chris Paisley, who was chosen by Fleetwood as his playing partner, shared fourth place on 19-under par.
Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson were T19th at 14-under par while Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell finished T22nd at 13-under par.
