Simon Dyson breezed around the Earth Course on day two of the Dubai World Championship in just two hours and two minutes.

The Englishman, who captured this year’s Irish Open and KLM Open titles, was the first player out in the second round of the season-ending events.

Dyson added a three over par 75 to his opening 77 to still be in last place in the now 57-player field tournament at eight-over par.

“I was up just beforeĀ 6am and got around in two hours and two minutes, so that’s bad,” he said.

“But it’s probably the first timeĀ since my amateur days I’ve been out by myself and getting around a golf cousre so quickly.”

Dyson elected not to have a playing marker but instead a female volunteer accompanied him to take down his scores.

The York-born golfer had teed off at 7.52am and walked from the 18th green at 9.54am, and with the group behind him just making their way to the 10th tee.
