Jean Van De Velde Making His Seniors Debut At Carnoustie 17-Years After Open C’ship Meltdown.

Carnoustie, Scotland … Frenchman Jean Van de Velde confirmed he will make his Seniors Tour debut later this year at Carnoustie and 17 years after his Open Championship meltdown.

Van de Velde will turn 50 later next month making his eligible for the championship commencing the week after July’s Open Championship.

“I’ve been back to Carnoustie about 15 times since 1999 but then I can honestly say I’ve never woken up in a sweat thinking about what could have been,” he said.

And joining Van de Velde making their British Senior Open debut at Carnoustie will be past Open winners John Daly and Todd Hamilton.
