Crail, Scotland … Four-time Major winning Rory McIlroy has paid a visit to rival Manchester City’s Football Academy.

McIlroy’s a devout Manchester United fan and two years ago walked onto the team’s home ground carrying the famed Claret Jug.

McIlroy was as a special guest at City’s Football Academy, with the golfer given a tour of the facility as the side prepare for the Premier League clash with Chelsea later today.

And while at the facility McIlroy met with one of Manchester City’s greats in Argentina-born legendary Segio Kun Aguero.

McIlroy was in the Manchester region also to carry out testing on his golf swing at the Manchester Institute of Health & Performance, a short journey down Alan Turing Way from City’s the training complex.
