Scott Jamieson kept in sight of the Porsche European Open leaders as he deals with an unfamiliar Race to Dubai standing.
The Glaswegian was five under par with two holes to play but bogeyed both in a round of 70 on the (Franz) Beckenbaurer course at the Bad Griesbach Resort two hours east of Munich.
Three players – The England’s trio of former Irish Open winner Ross Fisher (65) and Graeme Storm (67) along with South African Charl Schwartzel (66) – share the lead on 10-under par but under a continuing ‘preferred lie’ ruling.
Jamieson arrived lying 103rd on the money list and just inside the top-110 who retain automatic 2016 Tour membership.

However it’s the first occasion in five years since the now 31-year old Scot has been on Tour he’s been faced with this scenario of fighting for his card.
Jamieson was 59th overall in 2011, 53rd in 2012, a career high of 31st in 2013 and 76th overall last year.
However in a career marked by a win and nine other top-10s the best Jamieson has finished this season in 24 events was T11th across the border in Austria.
“It’s been a strange year as I’ve made plenty of cuts but find myself in a different position I haven’t been before in trying to keep my card,” said Jamieson.
“The good thing I am playing the Dunhill next week and then I’ve got the British Masters and Portugal but it would be nice to lock-in my card over the next two days so it’s all done.
“If so, I can start fishing for other goals.”
Fellow Scot Peter Whiteford scrapped through despite a bogey at the last in a 72 to make the cut right on the three under par mark and be among just two of six Scots to play all four rounds.
However Stephen Gallacher’s indifferent season continued in missing the cut with a pair of 75s that will see him drop from 59th to outside the top-60 on the Race to Dubai.
While the current World No. 91 will edge closer to moving outside the top-100 after being ranked a career hight of No. 31 following the double defence of his Dubai Desert Classic earlier this year.
