England’s Lee Slattery is top of the European Ryder Cup rankings for a second week in succession despite letting slip a chance for a second straight Race to Dubai success.
Last week’s M2M Russian Open winner missed a four foot par putt at the 72nd green to miss out by a shot in forcing a play-off in the KLM Open.
Instead victory went to 23-year old Belgium sensation Thomas Pieters who is managed by the same management company as Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Gary Woodland, Matt Kuchar and fellow Belgium Nicolas Colsaerts.
Of course, there is still a good year to go before Darren Clarke leads his men into competition at Hazeltine.
However take a look at the make-up of his side after two weeks into the qualifying process with only Sweden’s Henrik Stenson the only player to have tasted Ryder Cup competition.
