Rory McIlroy will be among 22 Major Champions teeing-up in next Thursday’s starting Shell Houston Open on the Redstone course in suburban Humble, Texas.
Joining McIlroy will be Keegan Bradley, Angel Cabrera, Stewart Cink, Darren Clarke, Ben Curtis, Ernie Els, Lucas Glover, Retief Goosen, Padraig Harrington, Trevor Immelman, Martin Kaymer, Justin Leonard, Davis Love 111, Phil Mickelson, Geoff Ogilvy, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Webb Simpson, David Toms, Mike Weir and Y.E. Yang.
Also in competing in the final event before the Masters is McIlroy’s Medinah Ryder Cup winning colleagues in Nicolas Colsaerts, Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, Peter Hanson, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.
As well, former Shell Houston Open winner Paul Casey will tee up in the $US 6.2m event.
