In a long overdue accolade Zack Rasego, the caddy to fellow South African Branden Grace and former caddy to 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen, has been presented with the coveted ‘Caddy of the Year’ award.

Zach was honoured at the now traditional Caddy Awards Night hosted by HSBC and main sponor to this week’s WGC – HSBC Champions event here in Shenzhen, China.

Grace, with Zach as caddy, has won four events on this year’s 2013 European Tour including the most recent Alfred Dunhill Links Championship when the Callaway sponsored Grace began the week with an ultra-impressive 12-under par 60 on the Kingsbarns course.

While the night is for the caddies, a good number of competitors in this weeks $7m event were present at the function to shake the hand of the Soweto-born Rasego.
