Europe’s Ryder Cup captain, Jose Maria Olazabal returned to the Hilversumsche practice range today belting more balls in an effort to sharpen his game.
Olazabal, who will lead Europe into battle in 19 days time at Medinah, has spent more time on the Dutch range this week than any other player and that includes Germany’s Martin Kaymer.
Olazabal had missed the cut with scores of 71 and 76 to tumble to a share of 133rd place and in a tournament he won in 1989.
However with his Spanish-born caddy already on route to Italy and Thursday’s commencing BMW Italian Open, Europe’s team leader had to take care of himself.
That even meant washing golf balls as can be seen from the photographs below.
And again keeping Olazabal company was fellow Spaniard’s Ignacio Garrido and Jose Manuel Lara. Garrido has also missed the Dutch cut with rounds of 72 and 72 while Lara posted scores of 76 and 68.
