Louis Oosthuizen is showing his true colours and wearing a specially made pair of South African national colour sunglasses.
Oosthuizen has been wearing the shades with the ‘Rainbow’ colours for just two weeks now and he’s put them well into the spotlight at the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational at Akron, Ohio.
The former British Open champion has carded three sub par rounds – 67, 65 and 68 – to be lying in second place at 10-under par and just one stroke behind American Jim Furyk heading to the final round of the $US 8.5m event.

But unbeknown to everyone is Oosthuizen’s unique South African colour shades.
“It was my own design as I had asked the guys if they could send me a few ideas and I chose the design I’m now wearing,” he said.
“It’s a new way of displaying your national colours and being a proud South African, I thought it’s a great way of showing your nationality. Plenty of the guys have their national flag on their golf bags but I just thought this is something different.
“I’ve seen a few photographs of myself wearing the sun glasses and they come up really great.”
The forecast of strong winds and thunderstorms is set to play havoc with the final round.
However Oosthuizen is unperturbed and looking forward to the challenge of capturing his first World Golf Championship title and only his second PGA Tour success after winning is fabulous style two years ago at the Home of Golf in St. Andrews.
And www.golfbytourmiss.com quizzed Oosthuizen if after capturing the 2010 Open Championship and going so close to winning the Masters does he now expcect to be in contention more often in the Majors and WGCs.
“Yeah, definitely as that’s what I work for,” he said.
“That’s what I practice for, to give myself good chances in these events, majors. After Malaysia there was quite a bit of a slump, just not finding any rhythm in my game, and since Colonial, Scottish Open, I started hitting the ball better and working on a few different things with Pete. And yeah, I’m getting there. I feel like I’m swinging it really well now.
“My expectations are also higher as the more I play them, the more you want to go better.
“The last round is a great opportunity for me, a great spot to be in and to test myself in these events. I mean, this is as big as‑‑ almost as big as a major. You know, it’s a great track, and just going to try and do my best.”
