Seve Honoured At Iberdrola Open In Majorca

Flags all about the Pula Golf Club were flown at half-mast, black ribbons were attached to the flagsticks and Iberdrola Open players honoured Seve Ballesteros with a minute’s silence.

Players and caddies on Pula course practice range observe a minute's silence in memory of Seve.

And as was the scenario following last week’s minute’s silence at the Spanish Open, players, caddies and officials present in Majorca then broke out in applause for the five-time Majors winner.

Many then paused to watch live TV coverage of the memorial service in Pedrena was beamed across Spain.

Later today at 7.30pm local time there will be a special memorial service in the small 1842 built chapel lying alongside the Pula practice putting green.

Many players intending remaining at the course to cram into the 60 feet by 10 feet Catholic chapel that is only used for weddings and special occasions.

Then Seve Ballesteros was special.
