The 2012 London Oympic Games torch lit up the final day of the Curtis Cup.
Sandra Ross brought the torch to the Nairn Golf Club after running with the torch a day earlier through the streets of nearby Inverness.
She then happily posed with each of the eight women’s Singles matches while also delighted many others, including your author, in having their pictures taken with Ross.
Ross has long been involved with the Highland Games and has been a member of a local athletics club for many years, and also admits she still regularly partakes in the shot putt.
