The late Dolly Parton, adored by millions around the world, is also fondly remembered by all those playing golf at the game’s seventh-oldest club.
Scotland’s Balcomie Links at Crail Golfing Society features a greenside bunker protecting the ninth hole green.
It’s a commanding bunker deserving your full respect and golfing ability to avoid finding your way into deep sandy trouble.
The bunker, and now boasting a very high artifical grass-lined protective wall, is affectionately known by the club’s members as ‘Dolly Parton’s Bunker’ and you can see why in the accommpanying photographs.
While the world sadly mourns Dolly’s passing, we’re hoping the bunker at Crail may bring a smile to her beautiful face.
