Lowry Lands A Masters Historic 36th Ace & The Irishman’s Second Ace In Back-To-Back Events.

Ireland’s Shane Lowry was celebrating for a second tournament in succession having aced the par-3 6th hole on ‘Moving Day’ at the Masters.

Lowry’s tee shot was straight at the flag. One big bounce. Two little skips. Then a serene roll straight into the cup! Lowry spins round, punches the air, and hugs his playing partner and pal Tommy Fleetwood as the gallery goes wild!

That’s only the seventh hole-in-one at the sixth hole in Masters history and with Lowry celebrating the 10th year anniversary of his maiden Augusta ace at the 16th hole during the 2016 Masters.

Though in the year’s 90th year history of the Masters it was the 36th ace and Lowry enjoying the unique Augusta distinction in being the only player to produce two aces in Masters competition.

A fortnight ago Lowry collected his fourth in his PGA Tour career in holing out at the second hole on the final day of the Texas Children’s Houston Open at the host Memorial Park course in Houston.

The affable Irishman’s other two Tour aces include: the infamous island green at the 17th at TPC Sawgrass in 2022 and the seventh at Pebble Beach in 2025.
