Fans Furious With Tour Over A ‘No Play’ Moving Day Valero Texas Open.

Golf fans are airing their disappointment by taking to social media and voicing their disapprovable with the PGA Tour over continuing delays in the restart to an already to the weather affected third round at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.

Play on day three of the $US 9.8m event got underway on time at 8.10am local time but had only progressed to 11.51am when the threat of thunderstorms dramatically halted play.

All 70 players who made the halfway cut were out on the host TPC San Antonio course with Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre having seen his overnight four-shot lead at 14-under cut by two after playing partner Ludwig Aberg birdied his opening two holes.

The duo each birdied the par-4 fourth hole and had made their way to the par-3 seventh when ther siren sounded to halt play with MacIntyre at 15-under and Aberg at 13-under.

However just minutes before the expected 1.45pm restart, the Tour posted an ‘X’ message stating there will not be any restart to play until a further update at 3.30pm.

Three-thirty pm arrived and with the Tour now advising in a sixth ‘X’ message that their update advice was being moved to 4pm local time but as 4pm arrived, the Tour posted yet another ‘X’ message to say the update had been moved to 4.30pm.

Hereunder at 4.15pm local time San Antonio is the fans reaction on social media to what is NOT taking place in the Alamo City.
