It will be 15- years and and nine years respectively next year when the Asian Tour and DP World Tour return to co-sanctioned two of the best tournaments on the men’s pro calander.
The two events – the Singapore Open and Hong Kong Open – are officially back to being co-sanctioned by both tours from 2027 as formally advised by each Tour.
The Singapore Open was last co-sanctioned by both the Asian and DP World Tour’s in 2012 while the last co-santioned Hong Kong Open, and one of this journalist’s favourite, was back in 2018 with now PGA Championship champion Aaaron Rai capturing the title.
The new Deutsche Bank sponsored Singapore Open will be staged from April 15 to 18th, 2027 at the famed Sentosa Golf Club while the Hong Kong Open is scheduled from October 21st to 24th at the much-loved Fanling club.

The newly named Deutsche Bank Singapore Open will be co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour as part of the new tri-partite partnership, including the PGA Tour, which was agreed in July.
Happier times ahead it seems for both the DP World and Asian Tour’s.
In contrast the intervening period has been a strange times for both Tour’s what with the Asian Tour siding with LIV Golf that saw the DP World Tour seemingly distancing itself from having anything to do the Asian Tour and vice versa.
There’s been the absurb situations of the Asian Tour hosting a full-blown Asian Tour tournament in St. Andrews with no involvement whatsoever with the DP World Tour and vice versa with the DP World Tour hosting from 2023 to 2025 an a DP World Tour only Singapore Masters without any Asian Tour players and in a country where the Asian Tour is based.
At last common sense seems to have prevailed and with the Singapore Open, and first staged in 1961 with Aussie Frank Phillips winning by eight shots, next year to enter a fresh phase with Deutsche Bank – Germany’s leading bank with a global network – as the title sponsor, and with the DP World Tour returning as the joint-sanctioning partner.
Both Tour’s now back on the same page and jointly announcing they have linked a multi-year agreement that runs until 2029 with Deutsche Bank.

It marks the first time Deutsche Bank has sponsored Singapore’s national open, but it has previously partnered with the DP World Tour as the Title Partner of the Deutsche Bank Players’ Championship of Europe from 1995 to 2007.

Other prior winners of the event include Masters champ and three-time Singapore winner Adam Scott, as well as Spain’s Sergio Garcia, Englishman Ian Poulter and Italian Matteo Manassero.
Some of the Asian Tour’s finest have also been victorious, including Indian Jeev Milkha Singh plus Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant and Jazz Janewattananond, and Myanmar’s Kyi Hla Han – all former Asian Tour Order of Merit champions.
While traditionally part of the Asian Tour schedule, the event was previously co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour between 2009 and 2012.
Jeongwoo Ham won the title in April, impressively winning wire-to-wire – to become only the second Korean to raise the trophy. It marked the first time since 2022 that the tournament had been played at Sentosa Golf Club, with whom the Asian Tour have enjoyed a long-term relationship since 2005.

The Asian Tour is in the process of finalising its schedule for 2027, but the Deutsche Bank Singapore Open will be in the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing, the third of five Global Swings which form the first phase of the 2027 Race to Dubai.
