Scotland’s ‘Newest’ Lefty Turns On The Magic In Kenya.

Scottish-born Tour rookie Cameron Adam turned on the magic easily producing his lowest DP World Tour score by four shots with a sizzling 63 on day two of the Magical Kenya Open in Nairobi.

After an average first day, the 22-year-old Scot bounced back producing eight birdies on the host Karen course to guarantee himself a fourth pay cheque in six starts on the main DP World Tour.

The Edinburgh lefty, and former Scottish Amateur champ, heads into golf’s moving day sharing 16th place at eight-under and five shots shy of the leading duo of South African Casey Jarvis and 30-year-old Frenchman Frederic Lacroix, who also produced eight birdies in abogey-free 62 in the Kenyan capital.

David Law still heads the Scottish contingent but will be seeking some early golfing magic heading into the weekend rounds.

Law was comfortably cruising just a shot off the lead when he proceeded to post three bogeys in succession from his 14th hole before ending his second day’s play with a pair of birdies on route to a two-under 70 for his nine-under tally.

The Aberdonian shares eighth place and just four shots adrift of the leading duo of South African Casey Jarvis and 30-year-old Frenchman Frederic Lacroix, who produced eight birdies in an impressive bogey-free 62.

Law is contesting a seventh new DP World Tour season event regaining full Tour status in finishing runner-up in last year’s secondary HotelPlanner Tour.

However, it has not been the season start the 34-year-old had sought arriving in Nairobi having missed the halway cut in all four Middle East Swing events.

Joining Law and Adam over the closing two rounds is Scott Jamieson producing a 67 to be just inside the top-40 at five-under.

Euan Walker, also with a 67, is a shot further back.
