Penge Set To Stamp Name Of His New Born On A Fourth Club In The Bag.

Marco Penge finally makes his delayed debut as a full-time PGA Tour member at this week’s Farmers Insurance Open.

Penge earned his 2026 PGA Tour membership card in finishing among the top-10 on last year’s DP World Tour money-list, and brilliantly helped by winning a trio of 2025 Race to Dubai events, capped by October’s Spanish Open play-off triumph.

The 27-year-old Englishman was due to make his PGA Tour membership debut at last fortnight’s season-opening Sony Open but was side-lined with a viral infection.

And while he’s still being treated for the infection, Penge’s been given the OK to play and is itching to get going in what will be an eighth PGA Tour pro career event for the current World No. 30.

“Yeah, I’d like to have started a little sooner than this week, but yeah, I’m really excited as I’m playing the next four weeks,” he said.

“So, starting here at Torrey Pines and then heading to Phoenix and then Pebble Beach and Riviera is a pretty good start to my life on the PGA TOUR. I’m super excited”.

Penge has organised accommodation in Palm Beach, Florida for his wife, Sophie and family that includes young son, Enzo and the couple’s dog Otis, who travelled with them to Florida.

Penge is also doubly excited in revealing his wife, who he teamed with his then girlfriend to capture the 2016 Sunningdale Foursomes, is soon to give birth to the couple’s second child.

“We moved here at the beginning of January. Moved to Palm Beach with my wife and my son, and brought the dog over and kind of the whole crew, to be honest” , he said.

“My wife’s giving birth in a month’s time, so yeah, it’s been a bit — taken a bit of time to really find our feet and settle in. It’s been a lot of work to sort out, but yeah, we really enjoyed a couple weeks before I’ve come over here. My wife’s been really supportive of me and my career.

“Yeah, it’s cool. I’ve enjoyed it”.

“I’m playing these four weeks and then straight home for the birth of our second child. Yeah, it’s been a bit hectic. For us to have moved over here, it meant that she had to give birth here. At the moment she’s in Florida without her family and friends and I’m over at Torrey Pines and the next three weeks for me.

“Yeah, she’s been great. Obviously we’re both really looking forward to having a second child”.

Penge has also shown his love for his family in having their names, including their dog, stamped on his wedges – his wife’s name Sophie is stamped on his gap wedge, his lob wedge is stamped with the name Enzo while his sand wedge is proudly named Otis.

Now what’s good name for his 56-degree or 64-degree, should he carry such a wedge.  Also, what if the new Penge baby is a girl?

Wishing both Marco, Sophie, Enzo and Otis every happiness with the up-coming exciting news.
