Mickelson More Focussed On FedEx Cup Than Tuesday’s Ryder Cup Potential Pick.

TPC Boston, MA …

Ryder Cup hopeful, Phil Mickelson holed a five-foot par on his closing hole in a second straight one-over par 72 to be sitting right on the cut line at two-over par.

Mickelson will also learn Tuesday at 5pm US (Eastern) if he will be handed a Jim Furyk ‘wildcard’ pick to contest what would be a 12th straight Ryder Cup.

“I am just not focussed on whether or not I get a pick on Tuesday , and I am just glad I fought to make the cut here in Boston and give myself a chance ot move up in the FedEx Cup,” he said.

“I am 10th in the FedEx Cup standings and if I play well these next two rounds and the final two events it will be easy and that is what my goal is.”

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will each be afforded a Ryder Cup wildcard pick on Tuesday night.

And while Mickelson side-stepped the question you can put your house on Furyk selecting both Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau.
