New World No. 4 Rory McIlroy is in France looking for a victory double.

McIlroy jetted out of Belfast this morning for tonight’s (TUES) Northern Ireland crunch match against Germany t the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.

Northern Ireland are in a good position to win through to the last-16 in their first ever European Championship appearance.

And McIlroy posted a picture on Twitter wearing an appropriate George Best t-shirt before boarding a private jet at George Best Airport in Belfast with a few of his closest friends including Harry Diamond and Mitchell Tweedie.

It’s not sure if McIlroy will remain in Paris as he is due to tee-up in next week’s 100th anniversary French Open at the National Course outside of Versailles.
