Tiger Woods Confesses He’s Uncertain & Frustrated Not Knowing When He Will Return To Competition.

14-time Major winning Tiger Woods confessed he’s uncertain and also frustrated not knowing when he will return to competition.

Woods was on hand at the official opening of the Bluejack National course located about an hour’s drive north of Houston, Texeas and his first signature designed course in the U.S.

And in speaking for the first time in public since hosting last December’s Hero World Challenge, Woods was asked about his recovery from a second back operation and the likelihood of competing again on the PGA Tour since sharing 10th place last August in the Wyndham Championship.

“It would be awesome to be able to say when I am playing but I just don’t know,” said Woods.

“That is still tough to take and it is still frustrating knowing that I don’t know where I am playing.

“All of those are unknowns.  All I know I am progressing and getting better, and I’m getting stronger and I have to just take it day by day.

“How I am sitting here now and talking to you guys, and how I am relating my life to where I was in December had changed dramatically, and I just need to keep that momentum going.

“And hopefully I can continue doing that and eventually get out here, and hopefully sooner or later.”

It prompted Woods to be asked whether or not he was talking weeks or months, he said:  “I don’t know.

“All I know that in December I was not able to participate with my kids and do the things I like to do with them.

“So am I able to do that now?  Yeah, a lot more but I am still not all the way there, yet.

“Then it is eventually getting to elite level and playing out on the Tour with the guys.  That’s going to take some work and I miss being out her and competing with them, and playing with them.

“It is a great fraternity being out on Tour with the guys.

“But we do see guys get hurt and get injured and have family members get sick and so  but then we are there for one another.

“So I miss being out there and I miss being with the dudes.”

And Woods was quizzed by well-known Texas-born golf journalist Art Strickland what he thought of the scurrilous and controversial tweet by a little-known Australian journalist.

“Welcome to my world,” said Woods smiling.
