 Claims his second WGC victory in his 17th WGC career appearance.

New World No. 1 Jason Day wins for a second week in succession.

 Claims his second title in the WGC – Dell Match Play, following his triumph in 2014.

 The fourth Australian victory in the WGC – Dell Match Play, following Geoff Ogilvy in 2006 and 2009 and Day himself in 2014.

 Joins Tiger Woods (2003-04 and 08) and Geoff Ogilvy (2006 and 09) as the only players to record multiple victories in the WGC – Dell Match Play.

 Follows Tiger Woods (1999-01, 05-07, 09 and 13 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational), (1999, 02-03, 05-07 and 13 WGC – Cadillac Championship), (2003-04 and 08 WGC –Dell Match Play); Geoff Ogilvy 2006 and 09 WGC – Dell Match Play), and Ernie Els (2004 and 10 WGC – Cadillac Championship), as players to record multiple victories in the same WGC event.

 Becomes the 16th different player to win a Major Championship and a WGC event.
