Bohn, 42 was rushed to the nearby Palm Beach Gardens Medical Centre early Friday evening after complaining of mild chest pains.

However it’s now been reported that Bohn’s had a stent inserted after what doctors says was a 99 percent blockage of a major artery.

The blockage was in his left anterior descending artery – known as the “widow maker” because it could lead to a major heart attack.

The PGA Tour initially said Friday night that it was a mild heart attack and he was in stable condition.

Bohn said he had been dealing with bronchitis and pneumonia but now surprisingly had made the cut in the Honda Classic after experiencing chest pains.

Among those to visit him was fellow PGA Tour member George McNeill who saw Bohn on Friday evening and he was in good spirits.
