Four-time Major winning Rory McIlroy again endeared himself to his fans when he hosted a live Facebook impromptu interview session high above the Dublin cityscape.

McIlroy was celebrating the occasion of enjoying 1 million Facebook followers at Facebook’s European HQ in the Irish capital.

And here is some of the questions put to McIlroy during the eight minute Facebook close-up with McIlroy.

Qn:         When are you going to appear on the Howard Stein Show?

Ans:       Whenever he asks me on.

Qn:         When will you be back in Palm Beach Gardens?  

Ans:       Not until February.

Qn:         Are you going to play the Memorial in 2016?

Ans:       Yes, I will be playing the Memorial.  I didn’t play it this year but will play next year.

Qn:         Liverpool or Man U?

Ans:       Man U, definitely.  Even though they are not playing very well at the moment, Man U.

Qn:         Van Gaal or Moyes?

Ans:       David (laughing).

Qn:        Not known

Ans:       I hope so. I hope I win all the Majors in 2016.

Qn:         Who would win a wrestling match.  You or Jordan Spieth?

Ans:       Me, obviously.  He might win the putting competition.

Qn:         What is your Christmas tradition?

Ans:       Just spending time with friends and family.  I don’t get to do it as often as I like.

Qn:         Van Gaal or Ancelotti?

Ans:       Ancelotti.

Qn:         American football or soccer?

Ans:       I like both.

Qn:         When are we going to see you in Australia again?

Ans:       Um, I am not sure but maybe the end of next year. We’ll see.

Qn:         Buffalo or New York?

Ans:       I will be near Buffalo next week.

Qn:         The course I am looking forward most to play?

Ans:       Augusta.  Augusta is the best course we play all year.

Qn:         Will you be playing Torrey Pines in 2016?

Ans:       No, I don’t think I will be playing Torrey Pines in 2016 but maybe in the future as it is somewhere I would like to go play.

Qn:         Happy Gilmour or Caddyshack?

Ans:       Happy Gilmour.

Qn:         G4 50 or a GR 50?

Ans:       GR 50.

Qn:         Do you like dogs?

Ans:       I do like dogs.

Qn:         Favourite club in the bag.

Ans:       My driver.

Qn:         Are you looking forward to the Ryder Cup next year?

Ans:       Yes and hopefully it will be another good one for Europe.

Qn:         Are you playing Qatar next year?

Ans:       No, no.  I am not playing Qatar but I will play Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I think.

Qn:         Do you like golf in Scotland?

Ans:       Yes, I do like golf in Scotland but only when the weather is a bit better in summer.

Qn:         Should Van Gala stay as manager of Man United?

Ans:       Aahh!  I don’t think so.  That’s just my view.

Qn:         What do I want for Christmas?

Ans:       I don’t want anything as I am happy with what I have.  Everyone says I am very difficult to buy for so anything would be appreciated.

Qn:         Do you like Dubai?

Ans:       Yes, I do like Dubai.

Qn:         When are you coming to South Africa?

Ans:       South Africa. I might be there in the next couple of years. I told Ernie I would come down so I better keep my word.

Qn:         Red or blue?

Ans:       Red.  I am on Facebook, so that should be blue.

Qn:         First golf club?

Ans:       A John Letters 5-wood when I was 18 months old.

Qn:         When will you come to Iowa?

Ans:       Go Iowa, go Hawkeyes, go Zach Johnson.
